Hey insanity, I didn't see you coming. Welcome back
Rob, totally agree

Reason for her anger: She was provoked to anger by a group of MRA guys misrepresenting her views and pretty much just trying to get on her nerves to make her look bad.
Here's a video to view for context.
Yea, really out of context. This video was shot after a group of feminists ,including this one, stormed the building in which a mens seminar was taking place and pulled the fire alarm causing everyone to evacuate the building. This was accompanied by a cheer from the feminists. And I don't think they were misrepresenting her views at all, they were actually trying to talk to her, but she was having none of it.

I've seen a lot of videos by Thunderf00t on this subject, and he seems to have a lot of concerns about professional victim playing. I don't know enough about all the events to make a judgement.

I have no idea if what you're saying here is true. How do you know that?

Bullshit. She was pretty much trying to tell them what her views were exactly, and they just kept closing their ears to what she was saying. That guy with the beard kept yapping and was obviously not interested in hearing her perspective.

Since thunderf00t made a video comparing rape with theft and saying rape is preventable the same way locking your house's door is, I quit watching his videos. He isn't any better than radical feminists, he just picks up the worse about it, twists the ideology to make it look bad. I'm not even gonna comment on the Amazing atheist, that guy is a lame representative for us

I've just been watching and reading. Unfortunately I don't have the time to join in these threads without half assing my responses, and that would suck. So I'll limit myself to quick jokes.

I watched the same video I think. I came away with a different perspective, he seemed to be saying that there's no need to put yourself in more danger than is necessary; about being realistic regarding danger. Just being sensible.
He seemed to be concerned that people were being told there is literally nothing they can do to affect the chances of being raped. I don't know how wide spread that message is though.

I would hope anyone who knew me even slightly would find it obvious enough to not have to ask such a question. But it is sad there are people like the one you describe who actually like things being unfair. What a dick.
I guess it's no more weird than needing a word to describe the fact that you don't believe in magic fairy tales.
More or less women who use the label feminist now are really using out of anger and hatred of men also for special pleading. There was a case of college students getting in trouble over a rape accusation and then the schools dean had to do a investigation on the claim it pissed off the one making the claim and others, he suspended the students accused from playing on the schools football team when it all came back it turned out of be a false accusation the students whose reputations were ruined where off the hook. Anyways the world view of radical feminists are if there is a rape claim send a man to jail because that's what they deserve. All in all its just special pleading at its finest.

But he engages in irrationality in many ways. The problem is that rape comes from someone you know, someone you don't expect or predict to be a rapist. Getting raped is not (like he says) getting in a car with a stranger voluntarily - It's unpredictable and unexpected, it's not that preventable. He also does another terrible thing - He equates rapists with the serial rapists that rape and murder 50+ women - This is bad because most rapists are not psychopaths, they are men like you and me, probably gentlemen, who think raping is perfectly fine. When he talks about body language it is a flaw because rapists usually don't care for body signs, for them any body sign is a sing of "come fuck me" even if it isn't. Most rapists don't have traumas or mental problems, they are ordinary men that come from all background, race and religion. Preventing rape is difficult in this context. The critique of "teach men not to rape" is not to say you can't use self defense, it is a way of saying that we are able to control ourselves and are not potential rapists
In my opinion, teaching women how to not get raped is offensive to us men because it means we aren't able to control ourselves from raping. I have raped 0 people in my life because I was taught not to rape. There's no reason a better education cannot work - If you look at Islam and middle east, men are not taught that raping is wrong, so they rape more often because they think it's ok to rape, even with women wearing burqas. Most rapes are not preventable because (1) There's no way to tell who's a rapist (2) Unlike theft, there's no specific areas in cities where rape happens more (3) The only way to prevent rape would be to not get out of the house at all, which seems pointless and dehumanizing.
