Oh, I know. I mentioned that in my first reply to YGNinja in this thread. The above is the SCOTUS' justification for allowing it to continue.

A-hem. Hate to nitpick, but no, Christians weren't the only ones present at the time. Including one of the big pushers for church state separation for the past 300years, the Jews. IIRC they were big pushers for church state separation in the beginning too.

Ha! This may be the best thing I've read all day! I'd roflol or something but I think you're serious.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Putting 'god', particularly one into vows of poverty and rich men being compared to camels going through eyes of needles to get to heaven, on money doesn't make money religious,
it makes 'god' secular.

It's usually polite to answer people when they've given you the time to do the same for you.
I wonder why you're avoiding the previous replies?
I particularly like your thinking around your version of Christianity being the only "Church" being referred to though, very cute.
