Because well in truth Romans had a lot of biased laws and policies against christians.
The martyrs were killed so yeah christians were angry that bible writer was probably pissed off
and that is why that part of the bible is what fuck.

You guys are in a veritable lake of nonsense gazing out, thinking everyone on shore is deluded.

On the shore!? I thought you said we were supposed to get in the boat? Maybe that was revelation777...I get my wackos mixed up sometimes. You're the sweet adorable one. Could never mix you up with Drich or godschild because I've never seen you be mean to anyone. Can't mixed you up with Ricky because you might not be crazier than him, but the two of you are on separate planes of crazy...
I have no idea where I was going with this...

Why do you agree with what YG said? There is a huge difference between education and indoctrination. One is being taught objective facts and left to realize the truth on your own terms via critical thinking. The other is being taught to abandon critical thinking in favor of accepting a specific truth and then learning to warp everything around you to fit that truth.

'Truth' is relative to knowledge (or should be), you adjust your personal 'truth' as you acquire knowledge. You're not supposed twist what you've learned until it fits your 'truth'.

Relying on science as an explicator for all things also necessarily relies on human cognition to be able to explain all things, and such a position is self defeating, as you assume infinite cognition - a supernatural property. Kinda reminds me of "I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High." - The most core principle of Luciferianism.

You rely on "human cognition" when you read the Holy Babble. Even if Jeez and Friends appear in your bedroom, make you toast and rub your wee wee, you are using your "human cognition". What else is available? Your Bible garbage isn't somehow immune from needing to be communicated via the senses and interpreted by our brains. Thanks be to Satan for pointing this out to me. You're looking well today Oh Lorde of Lordes! Is that a new cape?

Quote:The truth is that there is a conspiracy, but its not something im going to labour on because i think most of you have too strong normalcy bias to be able to acknowledge it. Essentially it was catalysed during the enlightenment and has its roots in the ancient mystery schools of Babylon. Who supplied the light for the enlightenment? Lucifer the Light-Bearer, ofcourse. In essence, the science paradigm was born out of Luciferianism, for the purpose of creating atheists, who are in principle indistinguishable from Luciferian, although don't self-acknowledge it.

Comedy gold here. The Devil is behind the Enlightenment to create atheists! How did we not see this earlier? This bit definitely worthy of the Hall of Shame.

It has worked fabulously I must say. Nothing like a little light to get the religious cockroaches scurrying for safer realms such as Planck time - the last refuge for poor, old God!

Why throw out the whole Bible if any piece of it is wrong? That doesn't make sense to me. I know it's a slippery slope. You would need to examine each piece of the Bible carefully to know if it is history, allegory, etc. But you already need to think carefully about the choices you make in life relative to Christian teachings. It wouldn't be so bad IMO.

If any part of it is wrong then how do you trust any of it, it's a book on spiritual life and the effect it should have on the physical life. It was never meant to be a history book, yes we can draw history from it, but that only means it references events in history, not establish it. I do examine the Bible every closely, I do because my life is to be patterned through it's teachings and I have no problem with that, at all.

How about the snake handling in Mark? My Bible had a note explaining that those verses were not present in the earliest manuscripts.

I do not know if the snake handling was added, I've never heard it was, what version of the Bible do you have. I know a few things may have been introduced into the scriptures, it's all speculation we do not have the original writings so we can't know for sure they were or were not in the originals. Those few things that are disputed do not in any way change the message or meaning of the Bible, that is what's important. When I get the time and if my poor brain can remember I will investigate the snake handling, if I do not get back to you about it and you're really interested in this keep me reminded.

I just looked in an ESV Bible and it says in brackets in the text just before Mark 16:9
"[some of the earliest manuscripts do not include 16:9-20]"
Every bible I've seen includes a note on those verses, so probably yours does too.
Here is a wikipedia article about the verses in question:

Not gonna happen my friend.

My snake gets lonely when not handled frequently. He's a sociable snake, especially with the ladies.

I personally like snakes and do on occasion play with them, I'm however not stupid enough to play with venomous snakes, hold them securely yes, playing with death isn't a smart thing to do. I wasn't even think about the verses you stated, and yes most believe they were added, but like I say we do not know for sure those verses were not in the originals and later found their way back into copies.

The Old Testament stories are primarily essays about each of the Ten Commandments as set forth in Exodus 34:12-28. The stories show the application of the Ten Commandments in practice. Once you fully understand the real Ten Commandments you can easily associate the stories to one of them.
