There is no evidence of this god's existence. Therefore, that statement cannot be true.

No, my friend. We're not made in his image. He's made in the image of an archaic society where things like that were acceptable and just another day at the office. He's got his share of human like any other god that ever got created.
The difference is Al Capone was a criminal out for his own selfish gain, maiming and killing any and all who stood in his way. God created us unselfishly; He doesn't need us any more than we need pets. There is nothing any of us could ever do for Him - it is all a gift.
No one escapes justice. Everyone pays, either in this life or the next. But God is just, and once the last pennies have been paid, He redeems.
You are right about one thing, though. We aren't made into His image, at least not completely, yet. You must repent and be baptized by fire, either through faith in this life or by immersion in the lake of fire in the next life. THEN we will be made into His image.

You can, should and are right to do so, but you're missing the point. If you can assert that your god exists because he said so and there is no evidence to the contrary, I could assert the very same thing about other gods or myths. The fact that you only apply that line of fallacious reasoning to one myth is special pleading.

Pardon? And saying there once was a boy who came back from the dead to save the day doesn't reek of wizards and fairy tales to you?
Also, how is not buying into an obviously indoctrinated idea living in a fairy tale? How is accepting the reality living a delusion?

To further assert that the something that existed would magically explode and form extraordinarily complex worlds and systems within systems within systems, and form precise mathematical and scientific laws from chaos, is quite frankly laughable. Not that I look down on anyone who believes in these things, because each man has only what God has given him, including understanding that which concerns our existence as a whole.
Well, where did your god come from?
Nothing?

Assertion upon assertion upon assertion.
You claim we cannot comprehend god, yet you speak of his intentions as if you did. Tell me then, is your god knowable? If not, why should we believe a word you speak about him?

When does the biblical god pay for being the monster he is?
If you persist in stating that he is a good god, then you are merely reading the bible with rose colored glasses. There is absolutely nothing good about the psycho that calls himself a god.

Two things:
(1) you're arguing for a generic Deist God instead of the very specific and preposterous Christian God.
(2) Atheists disbelieve every God claim they have examined, but they don't usually claim that God is impossible.

Well, that would be the appearance, but I never actually expected proof to be shown, because there is none. But then, we weren't talking about the existence of God at the time, either.
As I've already stated, I can't provide any more evidence for God's existence than what He has already provided inherently through His creation.
Of course, I can tell you that I personally know that God exists, having heard His voice, but merely saying that probably gives me even less credibility in your eyes. But I have heard His voice, and I know He exists. Yet, I believed before that happened, because He drove me to that belief.
Not everyone will believe, and even this is as He ordained. God is perfectly in control of everything, from the macro to the micro.
I would suggest to all of you, try looking at your life through this lens. There are no coincidences, there are no chance occurrences. Everything happens for a reason.

I'm sorry, but I just can't stop myself.
Explain the Holocaust.
Also, more assertions. No surprise there.

Not that it is the same kind of "paying," but He paid the price on the cross. He has joined in our sufferings, and even continues to do so now, because God is pure empathy.
If you knew that, in the end, everyone inherits eternal life in paradise, could you call that anything BUT good? That is my argument. You don't have to accept it, but for the sake of the argument you can at least abide by those premises.

When one does not know the reason for something happening, it is unreasonable to fill in the gaps of knowledge with god did it, because that is not an answer when considering that there is no evidence for stated being's existence. Making the god did it statement is intellectually dishonest. It is better to simply state one does not know the reason for something than to ignorantly assume it must be the work of a divine being.

Bold by me: Yeah, it does.
And did he tell you which of the 40,000 christian versions of god he actually was? How about Allah or Eloim? Why not Lucifer or Shaitan trying to deceive you?
