Hey, he just pissed off the jesus freaks...he can't piss off the corporate prison motherfuckers, too. That wouldn't be good "politics."

I still wonder who the fuck thought it was a good idea to make prisons private?! There are some things profit should never be made out of.
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.
Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.
Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.
Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.
Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."

I think private prisons might make work...it's technically a legal version of slave labor, but that already exists in the current system as well.
There would have to be extreme restrictions of course and I would rather that labor be skilled work that would eventually land them jobs after they are released.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

That doesn't change the fact that they're run for a profit, and humans being humans, of course lobbies are going to sprout, especially in a corporate paradise like the USA. Which means laws like this, and the forced labour of people who would much more likely need medical assistance like drug addicts.
Punishment should work as a way to reeducate criminals, not as a way to keep fat men feeding.
I kinda agree with that last part you added, but I would still trust the state more than privates...

I have to admit that this is a fair question.

We may have to call it a tie.

Beyond stupid. Bordering on downright criminal.
http://www.addictinginfo.org/2015/03/31/...-handguns/
Quote:
New Alabama Law Will Allow Children To Have Handguns
The measure is sponsored by three state senators: Arthur Orr, Greg Reed and Clay Scofield (all Republicans). A matching House bill is being sponsored by Ed Henry, Micky Hammon, Barry Moore and Corey Harbison (all Republicans). It’s unclear why the group of lawmakers felt that kids needed additional relaxation of existing gun laws.
On the flip side, we do know that childhood shooting accidents are in the top ten leading causes of accidental death among children. We should use the term “accidental” very loosely here because in almost every case the child stumbled across a loaded and unsecured gun somewhere in their own or a family member’s home. Now, in Alabama, children won’t even need to “stumble” on a gun, they’ll legally be allowed to possess it.
Somehow, I knew they were all republicunts before even reading the article.

I think this Blue Dog points out the faults in the Republicans so we miss the fact he said that Moslems should get out if they don't adopt American customs.

You had an article stating that Moslems should leave America if they followed their own customs. I don't forget when you conservatives Americans say igorant BS as you are apt to do.
