Oh, who knows? The extraterrestrial theists on the fourth planet of Epsilon Eridani may know the One True God tm. The possibilities are endless! But not very probable.

I always find it funny how people seem to think that it is either one true God or no God at all. Interesting, that.

I am a Christian. I have just made such a claim.

I believe in one God. All others are real, however, in the sense that they are attempts at articulating aspects of the same being.

I found that out myself (I too was baptized as a baby) and researched for a way out of Xianity until I found out that there are at least two ways to undo.Of course the Xians say that it is impossible to undo their magical baptizing, but that is only a propaganda lie." Are you fucking kidding me? All you have to do is simple, once you realize that religion is bullshit you walk away and chalk up your baptism to one small part of the bullshit. When I was a kid they baptized me as a Catholic and when I joined the Pentecostal movement I was baptized there too. Now I don't buy into any religious institution and those baptisms don't mean jack shit to me.
There is nothing people will not maintain when they are slaves to superstition

Get with the program! ...Adding to the long list of gods: "Meta-god."

Interesting view, similar to one shared by some Hindu mystics, who are monotheists AND believe in all Hindu gods. Their view is there is only one god,Brahma. All other gods are manifestations of aspects of the godhead.. It's also possible to be a Hindu and an atheist.(there are far fewer original ideas in Buddhism than often thought. This is perfectly fine; there are none in Christianity) I do not believe in any god(s) due to lack of evidence. I remain open minded; I will believe immediately someone produces some evidence. This position differs greatly from that of many believers, who have the uncanny ability to ignore any evidence which contradicts dogma. I especially admire the depth of this ability in new earth creationists and other froot loops. The Catholics are more pernicious, but less obvious, being arse deep in Jesuitical sophists who help them justify the unjustifiable. (protecting pedophile priests, banning condoms as a safeguard against AIDS,stem cell research, that kind of thing) |
