No... not an old sore... a rather recent one, and one imposed by some sort of official language council in Portugal.

An agreement which is seen by the portuguese people as catering to crappy brazilian writing... and then... Brazil discarded it!

And there's another curious thing: can you remember of anyone from a spanish speaking country around here? I can't... Sad

It's true, I side with Portugal on this one - our writing really is crappy  Tongue

However, in 2009 we signed the agreement and *I swear* in 2009-2010 you could not stop hearing about it  Angry

But it'd be nice to meet a fellow Portuguese-speaker, even if that fellow is European or African  Wink 
Although to be honest I am not proud of my roots in Lusitania Blush  Tongue

I am also willing to accept a Spanish, Galician, Catalan, Occitan, or Italian-speaker as a peace offering (:

You should definitely include this in your resume. There are just not enough people in the world that can cuss elaborately in Spanish.
