Black People - Stop Blaming Racism, Take Responsibility

I've gotta be honest, sometimes it's like Min gets away with saying whatever he pleases just because he's the biggest poster here, and muppets come along and bum him up the arse even when he's in the wrong.

There was absolutely no need for him to toss that word about so flippantly, and his response afterwards of "two bit phony cocksucker" was nothing more than trolling.

But he'll get away with it, because it's Min.

The phrase, "in Adolf's book" seems to me to indicate that he is speaking from AT's point-of-view,

Or, it could also read, and it would seem to indicate, that Min, the goofy goober shit for brains, is totally wrong and doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. His witless come backs to those who either call him out, or who disagree with him, is to respond by calling them racists or Nazis while he throws around the "N" word himself....with some of you trying to justify that goof ass dipshit.

Indeed it could.  I've been known to be wrong. I don't think I am in this case, but reading what he's written, he doesn't seem to be speaking from a personal perspective.

Quote:Interesting. Would you, personally, use those kinds of slurs to make a point, and would you use those slurs around a group of people where blacks were among them?

I have before, yes, with both black friends and black members of my interracial family; in the context of imputing racial views to someone else, it's easily understood.

Quote: if the writer honestly thinks the target is racist and can support the charge of racism..

All some of us did was to disagree with his dumb ass and to call him out for using the "N" word. How does that support his charge of racism? He's thrown the "N" around on more than a few occasions in other threads. How does that justify Minifullofshitalist calling those he disagrees with, racists and Nazis? There's more support in what comes out of his own big mouth to charge him with being a racist and a Nazi.[/quote]

I didn't say that this supported his charge. I said that as a rhetorical device it is acceptable if the writer can support his charges. I don't know your views on race, and I'm not interested in calling you racist.  If you think that I'm supporting his labeling you as a racist, please accept my apologies. I don't know you well enough to say one way or the other, and I don't level such charges lightly.

I'm not supporting his charge against you. I'm saying that not every use of the word "nigger" is a slur indicative of the speaker's bigotry.

No.  Where did you get that idea?

Quote:Why are you blindly defending him?

"Blindly"?  I'm well aware of what I'm saying; there is nothing "blind" about it.

Quote:How can anyone say he absolutely needed to use such a word to illustrate (and simultaneously undermine) his point? If he even had one?

Again, where did I write that he "absolutely needed" to use that rhetorical device? Restrict yourself to what I've written and do not impute views to me I don't hold.  This conversation will go much smoother.

Quote:I've gotta be honest, sometimes it's like Min gets away with saying whatever he pleases just because he's the biggest poster here, and muppets come along and bum him up the arse even when he's in the wrong.

Are you kidding? I've gone hammer-and-tongs at him before about what I think is his bigotry, namely, his anti-Muslim bigotry. Ask him.

Quote:There was absolutely no need for him to toss that word about so flippantly,[...]

Again, I never said he needed to do that -- you're swatting at a straw-man.

Quote: and his response afterwards of "two bit phony cocksucker" was nothing more than trolling.

Dear god, trolling on the Internet? What's next?

Quote:But he'll get away with it, because it's Min.

Another way to put that is that "some of us understand how to read in context."

I don't agree with everything he says or does, by a long shot, but I think calling him racist over this is silly.

I didn't call him a racist. Pretty sure it was Min throwing around the labels of "Nazi piece of shit" before anyone else.

The context Min used that word in, it just wasn't necessary. And when you're accusing other people of being nazi's, it kind of undermines your own point when you use it.

I disagree. It reads to me that he's using it in the manner of speaking what he thinks A Theist's thoughts are:

...

Removed the unnecessary bollocks. Bolded "where I got that idea".

Quote:"Blindly"?  I'm well aware of what I'm saying; there is nothing "blind" about it.

If you say so.

See above dipshit.

Quote:Are you kidding? I've gone hammer-and-tongs at him before about what I think is his bigotry, namely, his anti-Muslim bigotry. Ask him.

Great, don't see how this has any bearing.

Quote:Again, I never said he needed to do that -- you're swatting at a straw-man.

But you did, again, see above.

I said it wasn't necessary for him to use the term.

You literally said "I disagree".

Quote:Dear god, trolling on the Internet?  What's next?

Yes, because I was acting totally surprised here. Who's using straw men again?

Quote:Another way to put that is that "some of us understand how to read in context."

I understood the context. My point, on the previous page, still stands.

I'm not responding again PT. I'm not furthering the pissing match over this bullshit.

I stand corrected; you said he was "insensitive" in his use of the word.  That may or may not be the case. I wasn't saying anything about his sensitivity one way or the other, though.

I was disagreeing with the second sentence, not the first ("And when you're accusing other people of being nazi's, it kind of undermines your own point when you use it.")

Quote:If you say so.

Of course I say so. Your insinuation that I'm a "muppet" who "bums him up the arse" because of his stature here is wrong. My disagreements with him demonstrate that.

Personal attacks and uncharitable assumptions aren't very useful in communicating..  You should know better. This is a vapid response you're making here.

What is it with you and your inability to disagree without namecalling?

Quote:Great, don't see how this has any bearing.

You insinuated that I was defending him because of his stature here.  I was pointing out that that stature is irrelevant to me. The relevance should be obvious.

This has been made clear above.

Wait, when I did I say you were surprised? I was feigning shock in order to point up the ridiculousness of your point.  I mean, you yourself engage in trolling; to then turn around and complain about it from someone else is rich.

Thanks; I'll speak my piece and move on. I don't mind disagreements, and there's room for each of our views here. I think that from the context, he's clearly imputing racism to someone else, not bespeaking his own.

Black people get told to pull themselves up by the boot straps all the time, but whenever black people are in a position to advance economically, in steps the white supremacist system ready to sabotage.

The tiny, majority Black town of Mason, Tennessee is under fierce and direct pressure from the state's white comptroller to dissolve its own 153-year-old charter and allow itself to be absorbed into the larger, majority white, majority Republican surrounding Tipton county, right after Ford announced they would build EVs there.

I don’t disagree, but I’m curious as to why you’re resurrecting blatantly racist threads.

And that's why fighting white supremacy is important, and why using Black Wall Street as an example of what can happen when black people are left alone just doesn't work in the long run.

This is now his thing.  Dig back 4, 5, 6 years ago and find threads that were long dead so he can prove to himself that the people here are racist...especially people who are no longer here.

For everyone who wanted the necroposting rule done away with - this is now Huggy's playground.
