The Last Movie You Watched
RE: The Last Movie You Watched
Valerian and the city of a thousand planets.
http://m.imdb.com/title/tt2239822/

Stunningly beautiful otherworldly locations... Lots of crazy action, but that's it...
There's a sort of love story in the middle, but it seems on par with Anakin and Amidala's, which makes the movie feel wrong.
If we ignore that, it's a standard action flick, where the heroes go through a series of quests to figure out what's going on in the city of a thousand planets.

National Treasure

Stop me before I watch again!!!

Didn't they make a sequel to that?... Angel

Yep, and a jaggoff fest for conspiracy nuts it was. Apparently the Presidents kept/keep a book with a shit load of incriminating evidence filed away.  And they leave it in a library. "National Treasure: Book of Secrets".

I've seen demands that the book be made available to "serious researchers".

Well, the source material was a 1970's(?) French comic book, so asking for much at all in the way of a plot would be pointless.

Ratchet and clank.

I'm mixed. I'm a fan of The games. (Only played PS2 ones though.) And i praise The film for staying in spirit with those games. As far as video-game movies go, it might be The best i've seen. But that's not saying much.
The graphics/animation was great. Amazing even. And The voice acting was Well done. And The characters were rather true to form. But it lacked comedy, or at least didn't always have it's punchlines hit, and could have done with more action, suspense and puzzles.
Also, the betrayal of one of The characters was strange. It was drawn from The source material, but strange none The less. He betrad everyone on a promise of getting what he wants later. If he'd been given something he wanted right now it'd made a lot more sense

And finaly, perhaps The biggest problem, imho, is that Ratchet and clank Hardly bond.it's just assumed that they are best friends because that's what happens in The games. But in The movie they have like one brief conversation at The start and one quick skirmish before clank gets treated like crap for The most of The film by Ratchet. Their friendship, in what is essentially a buddy-cop animated action-comedy, without enough action or comedy, isn't earned. And that's barely passable if you are caught up with The games. If you don't like The games or haven't played them, I therefore don't think you'd like this film very much.

Not a film i'd recommend to everyone, but i did kind of like it.

This is no way to commit suicide.

A slow, lingering, braincell death by Cage.

That's something I'd inflict on people I don't like.

Higher Learning (1995). Interesting but not much depth in characters or plot.

The Vatican has no love for the Jew.
Why should they interfere?
The Lutherans would not object either.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I don't get the allure to these films, pretty subpar horror/scifi/whatever.
