I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

Always a paragon of virtue and good taste, Bill Donohue of the Catholic League weighed in on the attack... by promptly blaming the victims for provoking these Islamic thugs.

It really just goes to show, when these religious types do anything other than condemn the slaughter of people over words, where their priorities lay, that they think wholesale murder is an appropriate response to satire.

Capital punishment is abolished in the republic for good reason, and I don't see the point in phantasizing about it. I'm more worried about lynch mobs taking to the streets right about now from the other side.

Donahue is as despicable as they come. He's the only catholic bible literalist I know of.

The silent ones are tacitly benefiting from whatever terrified silence results from these kinds of attacks. It's all well and good to be a "moderate" while simultaneously enjoying the immunity to criticism that the radicals wish to spread by force, but it's the ones who stand up and condemn that use of force that get respect from me.

"I'm a moderate!" only means something if you do the things that moderates do, which is disagree with the methods of the radicals.
