I have anxiety dreams at least once I week. I have dreams I'm married to my ex again and can't find Tibbers. I've also had dreams that flowers were singing "Build me up buttercup" to me in a cartoon field. If dreams have meaning, that's fucked up. Sure, they can highlight what some of your subconscious fears are, but so can a deep meditation on the topic.

My dreams, when I remember them, are actually kind of fun. 95% steeped in reality, but with just one or two things off kilter. Maybe I get pulled over by a cop that has ice cream truck music as a siren. Or I go shopping and only get 50 jars of grape jelly. All while singing "Doe, a dear".
I feel relaxed afterward.

I have a recurring dream where I'm back at NAPS (Naval Academy Preparatory School) in Rhode Island. I was 18 and they made me a Platoon Commander and I was terribly immature and hadn't learned anything about leadership. It was bad.
I have so many regrets about that semester. Haunting, dumb regrets. I have haunting dreams about that semester all the time.

I've had a lot of traveling/route finding dreams. Others where I'm back working retail like in my teens and into my twenties. Occasionally I've had anxious dreams but not many that I recall. My wife on the other hand seems beset with them almost every night, poor thing.
I'm not sure what they mean, but they usually have some narrative cohesion and I consider them interesting. I mean, stuff your brain does without your help is cool on the face of it. But then again I'd probably finger paint with my poop, so there's that.
