Yeah mostly joking but your own position re: mom vs baby made me prod a little.
We regard mom and baby as the same. In the cases where the mom's life is in immediate danger (which usually does not happen until later on in the pregnancy), there are ethical ways of dealing with the situation that don't involve an abortion. Such as inducing labor or doing a c-section to eliminate the threat to the mom's life, while still doing what you can for the baby as well.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. What about ectopic pregnancies?

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

You are right that he would die regardless, so I can see how it would seem pointless. But when we're dealing with difficult moral situations and grey areas, the thinking is that when human life is involved it's a big deal, and so we have to address the problem by combing through the really fine details... such as the difference between specifically targeting the offspring with the intention of killing him/her, and performing a necessary medical procedure that would sadly result in his/her death as a known but unintended consequence.

In the grand scheme, big picture sort of way, yes. But that does not mean that God is hand puppeting every single thing that happens in nature.

The Virgin Mary is whom we believe to basically have been the highest and most "important" (for lack of better word) Saint to ever exist.
So um yeah... the Church does not teach that women are objects. 
Then the Church are teaching the Bible wrong. Because the Bible most certainly does teach that.
