Trump is frantically engaged in eroding your institutions, whoring out your military, destroying your alliances, permitting rape rooms, neglecting children and other heinous behaviour. I'd hardly call him 'insignificant'. He is a boil on the buttocks of humanity.
Boru
He doesn't really affect my life, though. Nothing has changed for my life since he was elected. He's just a random-cretin-puppet who will die soonish (just based on his age).
Not saying I like him--quiite the opposite! I'm saying that I have contempt rather than hatred for that itchy arse-boil of a human. Actually, not quite an arse-boil because an arse-boil would impact my life at least a bit!

Yes, I know it's in America's best interest to rule the world through force of arms.We don't actually rule the world through force of arms..or even at all. We maintain a privileged position in a morass of competing national interests through economic and political means. Quote:Just like it's in my best interests to just beat the shit out of everyone around me to get what I want all the time. If that's what you see as your best interests then so be it, but that has nothing to do with the best interests of a nation. If, however, this sort of thing bothers you - then you're going to have an issue with fuckers like Assad, Putin, and Erdogan. Who will not go away, just because we do. Or China, for that matter, who is gladly hoovering up any vacuum we leave behind us. Quote:Whether or not there are worse administrations out there than our country's is likely debatable. I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
Then let them be the bad guys, if they go in and pull the same crap we're doing, when we leave. I'd rather do things the right way, and have the moral high ground.
I don't really like to argue that much over the internet, and this is definitely not the time of the year for it, so I'll just agree to disagree. You have your views, and I have mine.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Can't someone take this drooling halfwit aside and explain to him that he's still a civilian? Boru
