Come home from work yesterday to this ...
He sits there in his boot of invulnerability and just looks at the passerbys ..

Nice!  Reminds me of my first dog and Daisy was the name of my third dog.  What a combo!

She is a friends dog and one of the most loving I have ever met.  I fell in love instantly and wanted to take her little butt home.

Anyway, just wanted to share.

My Maltese dog (also named Daisy) is the sweetest little dog of ever. She'd follow you home in a heartbeat, and loves everyone she meets. She's so mellow that the lizards in the yard will touch noses with her, and the finches will come down and take a dirt bath right next to where she is sun bathing. Not a film star, by any means, but we try to keep her (and her sister, when she was alive) in a puppy cut. I'll get a picture in the next couple of days, as we just had her groomed. The previous picture I posted, she was pretty shaggy.

So Cola who you met earlier this month when he arrived from Korea after being treated for heartworm in Seoul tested positive for it.  Several of our vet partners told us that it was too soon after treatment to test him including the one who ran the test and that we were getting a false positive.  The dogs' body needs time to clean out the "debris."   Since we have two more heartworm dogs in the pipeline we decided to have an echocardiogram done to see if it was an active case or not.

It was done this afternoon and it was fascinating.  First off this dog had 3 of our volunteers there, his new owner, two vet techs, and the cardiologist.  Cola, now named Kodi, had a posse walking into the examining room!  The doc narrated the whole procedure while we took turns keeping Kodi still on the table as he was not thrilled with the whole process.  His heart was clear and not enlarged and his pulmonary arteries, where heart worms hang out, were clear.  So it would appear that he is fine and our arrangement with Korea works.
