I really try not to be. I suppose A) coming of age when school shootings were growing more and more common, B) noticing that society's preferred way of dealing with potential school shooters (who were generally supposed to be outcasts) was by taking the problem and exacerbating it further by bullying them more and using "potential school shooter" as a reason for it, and C) Living in the crossroads of A and B and becoming so embittered that, when I graduated grade school, I was legitimately surprised that I hadn't actually had the courage to try to kill everyone, might have had something to do with it.

When properly medicated, I'm getting there. Otherwise, not at all. The abyss looked into me at a young age and moved in rent free. I like the trajectory I'm on now. Mostly.

What about you?  If you are, likewise, occasionally the monster, are you the monster that you want to be?  Or am I simply making a tempest in a teapot?

I'm often puzzled by the outbursts of emotion I sometimes see in virtual spaces like this forum or any forum really, how do people get so invested in some these things. But then again, I'm not really a "people" person and humans have never made sense to me. I've shown irritation with some things I've seen written in places, but if something is ever going to truly anger me it's going to have to cut into me pretty deeply, and it's going to have to done in person, and not be something aimed at me.

My step brother threatened me growing up many times, drunken with one of his guns, I never reacted to that either, and just stood there until he was done. He told once that I don't react like "normal" people, and that "scared" him, but apparently not enough to stop.

If there's a monster in me, it's well hidden.
