That the left is not free from evil is not the same as claiming that "the left does it as often or more often than the right". Where is your evidence that the left is at least as guilty as the right?
Both spectrums have no problem lying and deceiving for the purpose of gathering votes. Whether that is done by allowing rapists to walk freely, to reduce taxes on the rich and allow corporate welfare or simply institute subsidizes to a privileged group of people, it doesn't matter. Because modern European politicians are similar on the center, meaning that it's hard to distinguish center-right from center-left, it's actually hard trying to label someone as left or right if it wasn't for the fact that allegedly every politician's party pronounces itself as being in favor of one ideology.
