Ask them if they have a nightlight so that the boogyman can't sneak up on them while they sleep.

Really, you should relentlessly ridicule them for their silly beliefs. Since there is no such place as hell, you are not afraid of it. Just like you are not afraid that Zeus is going to be pissed off at you for not worshiping him. Ask them if they are afraid of Zeus, and if not, ask them to explain why it is that they are not. You then repeat that back to them about their hell nonsense.
