Quote: You are refusing to see that two opposing argument that are only based on human perspective will negate themselves.
How so? Because they are not to your liking? Because someone told you that the bible was the word of god, and you just believed them without questioning it?
Quote:There is no foundation or authority to judge your morals so you only imagined its worth.
Again, actually, I can judge people. If someone shoots someone in the head, in front of their children, for no reason whatsoever, I can say that that person is an evil piece of garbage. We all can judge each other's morals and actions. This is becoming a broken record, why can't you see that people can have morals? Why is it so hard for you to see that, if someone walked up to one of your family members and shot them in the head, that you would think that this was wrong no matter what faith you belong to?
Quote:He is all good, loving, righteous, and just. He reveals Himself not just through the Bible but in all creation.
Care to prove that? If you have never seen god in your life, how can you possibly know what he looks like, or the nature of this being? Has god appeared to you personally, and spoke to you, and told you that the bible was the word of god? No? Then, you don't know if the bible is god's word; it's a matter of belief. One muslim believes he's talking to god, can feel his presence, and feels god is telling him that the koran is the word of god. This can be said about a christian, hindu, or whoever. I can't go by people's feelings, everyone gets these feelings, and everyone in these religions seems to say, "I know..I know..I know my god is the right god, I can feel him, seek him out, and you'll find the truth." Then, most of the time, what happens is, is that the person falls into the predominant religion in the area in which they live, and everyone shares in this mass delusion that they're in the correct religion, because they think they can feel their version of god along with everyone else. Until god cares about us enough to come down and appear to us all simultaneously, and actually tell us what is the right way to live, I'm not going to believe god came to 4,000 different people in private, and told them to make different religions. I'm not going to choose one religion over the another, because the odds are that I'm going to pick the wrong one, if there's even a right one, which I doubt. If the bible was true, you'd think it wouldn't be so easy to pick apart. There would be no denying the fact, that every event in that book, actually took place, but all we have is another story, which scholars argue over, and argue over the existence of this alleged savior. It doesn't sound like a rock-solid, true religion to me, sounds like another way to control people back in primitive times, and apparently today.
God allows 21,000 people to starve to death every day, maybe try explaining how that is all good, all loving, all righteous, and all just.
Quote:You should read the entire chapter from which you plucked that verse from because you would actually be able to see the full context of the law you quoted
I have. I can give a hundred more quotes that are as disgusting as that, but somehow you won't see how immoral they are, because you can't seem to get the broken record out of your head that the bible is god's word. Why don't you explain when god says that you are allowed to beat your slaves, and as long as they don't die within a day or two, he is his property, and there is no harm done? There really is no other context there, but go ahead and interpret that for me.
Quote:You need to stop supressing the nature of God and repent and seek him as your Lord and saviour.
I'm not going to adhere to your version of god. An all-loving god, would not write/inspire the bible, that should be quite obvious. There is too much evil in that book to even remotely ever consider myself a christian again.
