Suggestion about suicide prevention

I'm all for suicide prevention, but the reality is that there is very little we can do if a person here threatens to kill themselves

Little is an understatement. Everything we can do could possibly worsen the situation for all we know. We have to accept the fact we don't know each other as persons. So we don't know which word triggers what in each others perception. We are in no way schooled to handle a situation like that in any case.
