I'm not sure, but I do know that I wouldn't require anyone to worship me. Is there anything worse than someone giving you something and than expecting constant acknowledgment for it? If I were witness a beloved mortal on his or knees, rocking back and forth in prayer I would say "You don't have to do this. Please. Just.....don't. This makes me so uncomfortable! You've already said thank you once, mortal one..... that is quite sufficient."
