Randy, there is a very old prophecy from a bishop named Malachy which gave a fingernail description of 112 future popes.
There is considerable debate especially from the hierarchy of the Vatican about it, for obvious reasons.
I had a feeling you were going to cite the fraudulent "prophecies of Malachy". You are aware of the fact that St. Malachy did not actually write them, correct? And that Catholics don't take this "Catholic" prophecy seriously? Here's a bit of history and analysis explaining why:

How Reliable Is the St. Malachy Prophecy?

Quote:Here is the one for Francis (source Wikipedia)- (number 112)-
In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit [i.e., as bishop].
Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people.
The Dreadful Judge is none other than the Lord Jesus, who comes this time as the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
As you probably know, Francis is Italian, and the first Jesuit pope (the gestapo arm of the Vatican).
Well, it's nice to hear that Pope Francis will continue "feeding" and "tending" the sheep just as Jesus instructed his predecessor, Peter, to do (cf Jn 21:15-19). Perhaps the fact that Jesus re-established the perpetual office of Royal Steward (cf. Is. 22:20, Mt. 16:18) has something to do with this!

I think there is a book out called "Petros Romano", by Tom Horn and another guy, you might want to read it.
Not so much. Regarding this book, Tim Staples noted:
Quote:Have you heard? Tom Horn and Cris Putnam have written the book of books demonstrating Pope Francis to be the last pope. Yes, folks, the end of the world is upon us. The book is called Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope is Here, published in 2012. This is not to be confused with their sequel, Exo-Vaticanus, published in 2013, which exposes a secret plan of the Vatican to usher in the arrival of a savior who is actually an alien a la E.T. Quote:In the book of revelation, the first beast is the Antichrist-the political evil leader.
Obama is that one and he came first onto the scene.
Subsequent to that, this last pope (the second beast of Revelation- the spiritual false prophet) came forth after the hasty retirement of his predecessor (who, I have heard- if he leaves the city state of the Vatican- will be arrested on child abuse involvement).
Here is a photo of Benedict XVI at a gathering of friends at Castel Gandolfo outside the walls of the Vatican earlier this year:

Speaking of Pope Benedict, the "Prophecy of Malachy" describes him as “rustic animal”—in Latin, animal rurale. Tim Staples points out:
Quote:This means something akin to what southerners might call a "country boy." But Benedict XIV was anything but a country boy. He was a brilliant scholar educated in Rome at the Collegium Clementium, which he entered at the age of 13! He was well-known for his learning in science as well as theology, philosophy, and canon law. He was also an exceptional administrator and a man of many talents, respected within and without the Church. He was anything but animal rurale! Proponents of the prophecies attempt to say this could refer to his "plodding determination" like an ox in a field. Can anyone say "Weak?"
See the article listed above for more examples of Malachy's "prophecies" that just don't actually work.
Quote:The book of Revelation describes the wiping out of the abode of the Prostitute- the Basilica, which is named after the Basilisk- the mythical serpent that is able kill with it's breath.
