I was responding to a guy on youtube earlier and related god with sadism and his followers with masochism, your part of self-loathing may be more accurate though, as I'm not sure if the Abrahamic Faithers or their mythological deity are aroused by all of this, though I assume they are, as it makes more sense to me that they derive some sort of pleasure and enjoyment from it but I don't think most of them would admit this.
