I still hold to the idea that, although religion seeks to control many aspects of our lives, sex is by far the most current and earnest effort at the moment.
For example....the christian bible says kill all non-believers or at least shun them but i haven't seen any protesters at the Buhddist temple i sometimes go to. Nor have i seen any at the few mosques that i have passed in America.
Iv'e never seen picketers in front of a tatoo shop.
However I have seen the protesters at abortion clinics and I have heard of protesters at a gay marriage.
Also in the presidential battle for the republican nomination the planned parenthood is a hot topic.
You may ask why I equate the subject of sex to abortion. That may be a topic for another discussion but in short....
the folks that want to shut down the clinics may be crying to save the children (for which i can understand) but these are also the same people that would also shut down birth control (in general). Once again religion's attempt at controlling a woman's vag.
