What is a "statment"? I think you mean statement.
My "authority"? Using context to infer the meaning you must be using for the word, my "authority" is evidence. Reality. Things we know from looking at the sky and in the ground.
The world did not flood four-thousand-some-odd years ago because science says so; there is not only a complete lack of evidence for it, but there is evidence to the contrary, and lots of it.
The Israelites were never enslaved in Egypt because science says so; a complete lack of the most basic and necessary archaeological evidence of their presence is, believe it or not, evidence of the absence of the Jews in Egypt at the time the Bible says they were enslaved.
A man cannot rise from the dead because science says so (being "declared" dead and then waking up does not count).
These are things the Bible says happened. They did not. We know this. This means the Bible cannot be the inerrant word of Gaud. Even if it were, the Gaud it depicts is a blood-thirsty nightmare creature whose appetite for vengeance for imagined sleights can only be sated by the blood of animals and humans, culminating in the tortuous human sacrifice of his own son.
