This date is based on the assuption that the genealogies in the Bible are complete. But there are indications that not every generation is included. Exodus 6:18-20 says,
Quote:The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, the years of the life of Kohath being 133 years. The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of the Levites according to their generations. Amram took as his wife Jochebed his father's sister, and she bore him Aaron and Moses, the years of the life of Amram being 137 years. This shows that Moses was the grandson of Kohath, but Genesis 46:11 shows that Kohath was alive then the Israelites settled in Egypt and Exodus 12:40 says that they were in Egypt 430 years. It is apparent that this genealogy is incomplete. Here is a good place to find out more on this subject:

When they come to the conclusion that these processes are responsible for what we see now isn't this also circular reasoning?
Here are two sites that don't base their beliefs on the Bible but reject the theory of evolution for scientific reasons:

His invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
