Not all Muslims are Terrorists!

Anyhow, when Fox News talks about profiling of all Muhammadans it suggests that they don't think Muhammadans are innocent until proven guilty so they have to be 'on the radar' so to speak. Fox News thinks that they are all dangerous and so would have this one size fits all policy. They are assuming that anyone and everyone could be interpreting the Quran literally so they want them all in a database like the Israelis do with the people of Palestine (to use their example). If they honestly thought not all Muhammadans are terrorists they wouldn't advocate for such a draconian measure and for the taking away of their privacy. Fox News would have us all live in a police state if they had their way. In summary, Fox News thinks all Muhammadans are terrorists.

Just because they advocate profiling, and that they think "Muhammadans" as you call them should be monitored, doesn't necessarily mean they think they're all terrorists. It just means they think they have the potential to be terrorists. It's a pessimistic view, but not one I necessarily disagree with, and it's also a distinction that matters.

It's similar to how profiling is done on black people in the US. Do you think police forces view all black people as criminals? I think it's narrow-minded to suggest so. However you could make the case that some of them view anyone who is black as potential criminals more so than a middle-class white dude, for example. In other words, they have increased suspicion over this particular person. I don't think it's the same as automatically assuming that all black people are criminals, however.

Likewise I don't think it's fair to suggest Fox News actually assumes all Muslims are terrorists. I know they get a lot of stick, and I probably will for defending them, but let's be reasonable.
