If evolution threatens creationism, then of course it will make Christians to counter it.
Now, to those Christians who DO ACCEPT evolution- I'm asking: How do you reconcile evolution with the whole concept that God created man in his own image, while evolution says that man is a relative of chimpanzees?
We believe Genesis was not meant to be taken literally. Yes, we believe God is still behind all of creation, but not in the way that is depicted in the OT. He creates the concept and allows nature to take its coarse, knowing what will happen.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
