Quote:The problem lies in the time line between now and the genealogies of the Jews that lead back to Adam at best come out to 6k years. So if Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden for billions of years then Assyria, Persia, Arabia, and Ethiopia are also billions of years old.
The problem with the genealogies aren't that they equal to six thousand years, the problem lies with the idea that Adam and his children came with in a few weeks of the last day of creation. Nothing in the bible puts a time line between the end of creation and the exodus of man from the garden. Adam and Eve could have only been there a week, but again because their is no time line they could have been in the garden the billions of years needed for evolution to happen.
