The one obvious problem I see is that since the founding of the 18th dynasty by Ahmose I there had been in general usage a "Valley of the Queens" as distinct from the Valley of the Kings.
Why Nefertiti would have been buried there instead of the more proper Valley of the Queens is mystifying. For that matter, Nefertiti drops out of sight long before Akhenaten so why was she not buried in Amarna as he was?
But, let's see what comes out of this. No one blocked up those two rooms for shits and giggles. They had to have a reason.
