My junior HS yearbook has a picture noting that event as part of the year in history. Since then these things happen more and more. Tell us when is a good time? If you worship guns, the answer is always never and do nothing. FUCK THAT!
The problem is that some (a lot?) of people think certain ideas are sacrosanct and should never be questioned. Which is bullshit of the highest order. If we're as just, smart, fair, and great as we tell ourselves culturally, then nothing should be off the table. We should be able to examine and reexamine our beliefs and social norms/values without fear, regardless of what it is.
We've become a nation of cowards, afraid that we might actually have to change ourselves because we might not be the people we think we are. It's fucking pathetic.
