Ok then what are some viable solutions?
There might not be any viable solution short of removing all guns from the U.S. which really isn't going to happen. Sometimes the solution is worse than the problem. The thing is, as horrible as our national school shooting numbers are, you are still safer in class than crossing the street. And TSA type checks are not a minor inconvenience if you cross them every day. I worked in a federal building where prominent ID Christians were tried before and after Oklahoma City, and I went through extensive security in and out but not nearly so bad as TSA after 911. So I know what I'm talking about. And I did defy a few security restrictions like, I opened my blinds so that I could have real sunlight even though *gasp* someone might see me and take shot through the window.
That aside, if it's affordable, trained, armed, and inconspicuous, security might solve the problem or at least really lower the number of deaths per incident.
Better mental health care in the U.S. would help.
Better gun regulations would help.
None of those would make schools armed camps.
By the way, supposing you wanted to kill as many people as possible? What better place than a big security check line? Think about it. Those lines don't make you safe, they make you vulnerable.
