More guns will make you safer? How so, if you lack the training? And by training I don't mean knowing how to shoot a piece. No, the real deal, how to pick the right target in a combat situation without getting offed yourself or offing some innocent bystander.
That is one point of SENSIBLE gun reform no one ever thinks about (and I DO support gun reform, just not banning them across the board). People should be licensed to own guns by going through state-approved courses on gun safety, how to properly operate a gun, marksmanship and gun laws. Annual re-exam/re-liscensing. Mandatory psych exam, mandatory approved gun safe to store them in and mandatory insurance too.
