I'm getting a bit tired of you calling everyone close minded Jenny because they won't just accept what you say at face value.
Waiting for satisfactory evidence before believing something is not being closed minded, it's being properly sceptical. You do it all the time I'm sure, in relation to other subjects. Or do you just believe everything anyone tells you about anything?
I suspect almost everyone here would love to have some sort of communication with God. But that's not the sort of thing you can pursue; it's kind of up to him. If he's waiting for us to jump through hoops first, then he is being ridiculous. Even if we wanted to, every theist tells us different versions of what the hoops are, and none of them work either. If someone wants it bad enough, they can end up deluding themselves into thinking they are hearing from God, that's about it. We are pattern seekers by nature, and we'll make patterns out of nothing to confirm our desires or biases.
Either God wants to communicate with us or he doesn't. If he does, then our scepticism (or closed mindedness as you call it) is apparently more powerful than he is and can block the communication. If you're suggesting he refuses to talk to us until we drop all scepticism, then you're completely making my point for me.
Most atheists here have put a great deal of thought into all of this and you insult their intelligence by just announcing you are right and that we're closed minded. If there was evidence, we would believe. You have shown none. You have decided that what you experience is God, and expect us to somehow do the impossible and show that it isn't. That is being closed minded. There are plenty of much more reasonable explanations. We could just call you crazy, but instead most of us have shown you the courtesy of taking you seriously.
