My dad bought into a magic-cancer-cure hoax a few years back. Google 'Royal Raymond Rife'. I suppose the only saving grace was that at least it packaged in a vaguely medical skin, but it still depressed me that this otherwise intelligent, wise man believed this bullfuckery.
