In my local newspaper (I am from a small town and the county only has one paper
) my district's state senator has a weekly column called "The Conservative Voice." He was just recently elected and this was the first one that I have read.
He was discussing how he is drafting a bill on including intelligent design into the curriculum. He spent the entire column attempting to bash evolution by natural selection.
It was quite pathetic. He completely misunderstands Darwinism. He used the arguments of improbability and irreducible complexity.
It's quite scary that someone running my state's government (let alone the knuckleheads in Washington) believe in intelligent design.

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
"Always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you" (1 Peter 3:15).
