What? Why? Because it says so in some story about him?
So, to repeat, you have no way of distinguishing Allah from nothing at all. You just assume that he can't be in front of you, because you're still alive.
It appears the only evidence you have that it even exists at all is your own inability to imagine how our reality could come about by any other means. I don't know why you assume that there has to be a book lying around that just happens to tell you everything you need to know about this mysterious logical necessity.
How did anyone else get this information, if Allah is incapable of interacting or communicating without destroying everything in sight?
