I think rik what you are arguing is not that they have beliefs but that atheists have a "dogmatic" belief which is most often associated with religious theists and are ' attitudes that are not only based on unproved theories but are also arrogant in nature ' .....
the thing is that not all atheists are the same while you might find an atheist with a dogmatic belief system i think most atheists are very skeptical regarding all dogma . to assume that all people who do not believe in God (which is what atheism is simply a disbelief in God) are dogmatic in their beliefs of other things , in other beliefs , is not correct because not everyone within any group all think alike . a more realistic claim would be that ' some atheists have dogmatic beliefs ' and give the reasons why and challenge those dogmatic beliefs thats youve noticed that some atheists have . ( the belief that all atheists think a certain way is actually a dogmatic belief ) humans have a tendency i think to label and make assumptions about people or groups of people but we should all make an effort to learn and grow and challenge our assumptions
A forum as it was intended in the ancient Rome was a place where a group of people congregate in a particular part of the square or place to discuss a particular subject.
Nobody is forced to come in the forum or a particular part of the forum better known today as thread but by coming people get involved in the subject being discussed.
As far as i know if people do not challenge the speaker it come obvious that they agree with what has been said.
What's the point of being there and listen otherwise?
My point is not whether all atheists think a certain way or not.
My point is that if you participate in a thread and you keep silent and do not challenge what has been said you automatically show that you agree with what has been said.
These people challenge my ideas at every step but they never challenge ideas coming from other atheists
and then they have the audacity to tell me that not all atheists think in the same way.
Well, if that is the case why then not challenge the other atheists that say different things.
Here is where lie the hypocrisy.
