I can totally disagree with something and not think that everyone who holds a commonly held and much practiced belief is an idiot.

That's great. So can I ... just not on this issue. Especially since mandatory military service (MMS) is NOT a commonly held and much practiced belief in the USA, which is the country I very clearly referenced in my OP as "my fellow Americans".

I don't really now what to say if you think of that as really stupid. If you considered it maybe you would make an argument other than 'this is stupid and so is every fucking idiot who believes in it.'

I can and have made a very good argument against it, but I don't have to in this situation. It's that painfully obvious. You act like I have to justify why I think Americans who might support such idiocy are indeed fucking idiots. Are you telling me that I have to plead my case to a guy who actually agrees with me?? This is ridiculous. Are you the vitriol police? If I want to call rednecks who play with snakes and stick firecrackers in their ass fucktards do I have to research, learn and then present an argument for your approval???

Capn, if you or anyone else thinks that the best way to fix the US gun problem is to arm everyone, make 'em a Marine, and teach them how to kill people than yes, you are an idiot and I do not feel any need to explain to you why I feel that way.

Capslocking stuff and yelling and insulting people while presenting nothing of substance doesn't give you much of a moral high ground.

As I understand it, caps locking is only yelling if you do it throughout a sentence.  Otherwise it's merely a way of expressing EMPHASIS by catching the eye.'
Also, I don't see how this has anything to do with morality. Being a soldier or even killing people is not somehow against my moral code. I'm against war because I love peace and prosperity and I'd like to see my great grand children have a wonderful life.
