More like god has multiple personality disorder.
YHWH could be diagnosed with many derangements. This would be a good topic for a doctoral thesis in criminal psychology.

My understanding of Islam is that their idea of the "Holy Spirit" is the angel Gabriel. Is this correct?
The Christian idea of the "Holy Spirit" is that it's a part of God that inhabits the hearts of all Christians who have accepted Jesus. Seriously.

It's the bible that's made up, you twit!
Short, sweet and to the point as always, Min. I always get a good laugh at your one-liners where you let loose on some brainwashed cultist.
Godschild Wrote:You are accepting the way the Jewish leaders of Jesus day thought. These men did not want a Messiah period, that would have removed all their power, so these power hungry men denounced Christ...
Are you basing your opinions on your imagination or actual history? Jewish leaders hungered for a messiah who would deliver them from Roman occupation. There were many such messiah candidates, perhaps the most famous of whom was John the Baptist (and please don't claim that he denied messiahship in the Bible as actual history shows us that he had a following that persisted for centuries). A candidate who could perform repeated magic powers would have been welcomed.
The messiah, as Padriac pointed out, was not supposed to be a lamb of God or God-incarnate but a mortal warlord. Jesus' claims, if he existed and he had made them, would have been blasphemous:
Quote:Deuteronomy
13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
Quote:YHWH is the trinity, the Father is one person, Jesus is one person and the Holy Spirit is one person, all equal, all one God (YHWY), each with different responsibilities but all of the same mind.
Christianity is the only religion that tries to be monotheistic and polytheistic at the same time.
Quote:The reason you believe the Jews say there is no intercessor,
...is because it's in the actual scriptures.
Quote:Isaiah
43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
No savior who "sits at the right hand" of God.
Quote:the high priest was the intercessor between YHWH and the people,
The high priest has no claims of divinity nor is he worshiped nor does he have the power to forgive sins. This is a failed equivocation.
Quote:Also Jesus was not abandoned by the Father and He was not abandoned by YHWH, that would mean He, the Father and Holy Spirit would of abandoned Him and He never left Himself behind nor did He turn His back on Himself.
Quote:Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
