Dunno about you, but I'll be 80 in 2065. Assuming life expectancy inexplicably stagnates over the next 50 years (that would be hilarious), that still gives me what I consider to be a staggering amount of time and change to see. Look what happened socially from 1915 to 1965. Yeah..........
Also, just how long do you think it is going to take even the developing world to get the sort of connectivity we have right now in the West? Africa isn't even that far behind in smartphones, for example.
It's uncertain, sure. This planet has a whole lot of religious nuts. But 50 years is a really long time these days, and the old ones are dying off every day. Changes in culture can happen really fast.
