Just NOT believing something never takes you where you want to go. It never gives answers outside of the realm of those that do believe. Doing so only ties you into those that DO believe. And as we all can agree...this realm gets you nowhere.

I have yet to see an atheist here promulgate something they do believe in.
And after reading your post, neither have I.
