There is not one single shred of measurable, scientific proof for the existence of god, so therefore there is no rational basis for believing in god.

And, you've got the cart before the horse. As everyone keeps telling just about every proselytizer that posts here, the one making the claim for the existence of something is the one responsible for providing the proof. Our skepticism simply needs scientific proof. If you say "god exists" then you must provide the proof. Put up or shut up.
