It doesn't sound to me like you really believe that Islam makes sense. If Islam makes sense and isn't an arbitrary set of rules, shouldn't it be obvious to you why you are prescribed to act in certain ways? Shouldn't you be able to see clear as day that it is not desirable to go there? But you don't. That you're conflicted about it, that tells me you already doubt whether the code you are following makes any sense. It must seem to you like an arbitrary pointless chicanery set up by some unintelligible invisible ruler.
