Were you born into a Muslim family?
Have you ever thought about the odds of being born into the right religion? What sort of god would expect you to abide by a set of rules that he never gives you a clear version of in the first place?
To you the Quran is the absolute truth, and anyone who questions it just doesn't get it. To millions of Christians, the same is true of the bible. To Scientologists it's Dianetics. No religion is as unique as it claims to be. Especially when they all claim to have the sole source of truth.
You can't convince yourself that Islam isn't true. No more than you can convince any of us that Islam is true. You can't just choose to believe or disbelieve. There's plenty of evidence that none of the world's religions know anything more than anyone else. Accepting it is a matter of your own personal set of logic. It's not something anyone can change.
Personally I asked myself why the God of the old testament was so present, and now that we have video cameras and photographs that he's so absent. I took a good hard look at the other religions we now regard as little more than myths, and realize that my own religion was no different from theirs. That's not enough for people who's faith has been built up strong. My faith was weakened by many things. I learned to enjoy life because of it, but I didn't lose my faith so that I could enjoy life. Rather it was a natural consequence for me.
