I thought I should point out (if it hasn't been mentioned before) that the legal age of consent for anyone in the UK is 16. In other words, a 40 year old man and an 16 year old can get it on perfectly legally unless of course that 40 year old is in a position of authority over that 16 year old (e.g. his teacher). However, even in that case, the 40 year old would only get fired from his position and serve jail time for breaking that authority; they would not be put on any sexual offenders list.
I understand why parents might be disgusted by the idea, but as long as you work as a couple, I don't see anything wrong with it.
