He is also apparently saying that anything happening today is implicitly morally acceptable to us, just because it is happening, without knowing anything about us. He is thus attempting a (failed) tu quoque, deflecting from the original point that he condones slavery because a book says so. Trying to call atheists hypocrites seems to be one of the go-to arguments on this forum, and it's utterly irrelevant because it doesn't address the actual point being made, even if true. And almost always, it's not true, because atheists are not a hive mind.
