This shit is a lot less "convincing" when someone isn't physically threatening you, huh. I'd pretend to believe any garbage if I thought it meant I could get away from someone safely.

I find it very interesting the sheer desperation some people show to try and strongarm people into agreement. I'd love to know the motivations, but I could only speculate. It seems to be a contradictory message of "you're worthless" and "I'm here to save you".
