Role playing exercise is done and I think I already said as much.
The choice comes down to who you think had the better idea of what Jesus was. If I had to make a choice, I'd go with the Christians thinking that the people who knew Jesus or who were part of the church established by his immediate followers had a better idea than some guy who came along six centuries later, who only heard about Jesus from the people he claims got it all wrong.
