This planet is hypothesized based on low probability alignment of the orbits of keiper belt object.
But shouldn't we also see a preferential alignment of long period cometary orbits since that planet would likely be a major influence in disturbing the inner comet reservoir? Or are the alignments of long period comets too randomized by inner solar system encounters to be of much use? Can we use the long period cometary alignment as a validation of the planet IX theory?
