I regularly witness people dying; over the course of many days and up to the precise moment of death. I've also resuscitated or assisted in resuscitating several individuals. While I can't determine exactly what anyone experiences with certainty, I've never seen any indication that dying individuals leave their bodies or visit other realms. When I've asked resuscitated patients about what they remember of their experiences, they just never seem to recall such extraordinary details as described in the OP.
